On November 22, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron met with his counterparts from Arab and Muslim countries in London to discuss the Israel-Hamas conflict after the two sides agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza for at least four days.

Mr. Cameron said the parties discussed solutions to build a stable future for the Middle East to bring security to Israel, as well as peace to the Palestinian people.

The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the Palestinian Authority, Turkey, Indonesia and Nigeria, as well as the Secretary General of the League of Arab States and the Ambassador of Qatar.

In another development, on the same day, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani welcomed the humanitarian ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the release of 50 hostages kidnapped by Hamas, and called for taking advantage of this temporary truce to increase humanitarian aid.

Gaza officials say the death toll has now risen to more than 14,100 – including more than 5,800 children and 3,900 women. Meanwhile, the Israeli death toll is around 1,200.
