A group of boys from James Madison High School raised $20,000 to buy a car for janitor Francis Apraku. The car was delivered to Francis last week.

Mr. Francis Apraku is an immigrant worker in the United States. When he was hired as a janitor at James Madison High School, Mr. Francis always had a good relationship with the male students at the school.

Mr. Francis once confided to a group of male students that his dream was to own a car for convenient transportation. However, with his current income, that dream was very far away. Hearing the janitor's confession, the male students in the school together called for donations from the community, hoping to make the janitor's dream come true.

The fundraising campaign began last year. A year later, the boys' goal has come true, using the money raised to buy a car for the janitor.

Student Logan Georgelas, who is representing the student group calling for donations, said: "We decided to work together to make Uncle Francis' dream come true with the support of the community.

At first, we thought the plan would be difficult to succeed, but we still started to implement it. On the first day of calling for donations, we received 5,000 USD, which was a good sign that our plan was feasible."

Speaking about the gift he received, Mr. Francis said: "I will never forget the kindness of these boys, as well as the generosity of the community towards me. I will always live each day with gratitude. This is a wonderful memory in my life."

The boys in the high school loved Francis Apraku because he was always friendly, cheerful, and always asked questions and encouraged them. Whenever he could do something to help the boys, Francis was always ready to do it.

The presence of Mr. Francis in the high school made the boys feel happier and more positive when coming to school. The close relationship with the friendly janitor made the boys decide to do something special for him.
