This morning, April 11, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Journalists Association to organize a press conference for the first quarter to deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2024.
Bustling press activities in the first quarter
According to the Department of Information and Communications, in the first quarter of 2024, the work of leadership, direction, orientation of information and propaganda, press management and press information and propaganda activities in Quang Nam province were regular and timely.
Information and propaganda work reflects all aspects of political and social life. Notably, the propaganda about the Conference to announce the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the activities of "National Biodiversity Restoration Year - Quang Nam 2024".
According to statistics from the Department of Information and Communications, there are more than 53,800 news, articles, reports, and clips promoting and advertising the event. Of which, there are more than 200 in-depth articles, written by provincial press agencies and central press reporters operating in the province.
Regarding this event, Quang Nam Newspaper organized a peak propaganda campaign with 75 news, articles, reports, infographics, e-Magazines, and television reports to post on electronic and printed newspapers, attracting the attention of many readers inside and outside the province.
In addition, in the first quarter, the press management and direction agency closely followed the practical situation, proactively, positively and promptly provided and oriented information on political events of the homeland and country.
Speaking at the conference, Journalist Le Van Nhi - Editor-in-Chief of Quang Nam Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association asked reporters and journalists to study the rules and actively select works to participate in the 18th Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award of Quang Nam Province (2023 - 2024) and thematic journalism awards in 2024.
Regarding journalism, Journalist Le Van Nhi said that, besides focusing on fast and timely information, reporters and journalists need to be careful, report accurately, and have official sources from authorities.
Orienting public opinion, stabilizing ideology
At the conference, reporters, representatives of the press management and direction agencies and professional sectors of the province spoke and discussed many issues revolving around propaganda work, press management, etc. Many reporters were interested in the current work of key officials of the province.
Journalist Nguyen Huu Dong - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Nam Newspaper recommended that the agencies in charge of the province's press sector need to forecast and coordinate with specialized sectors to proactively provide information to the press on issues of interest to many people such as personnel work, implementation of the conclusions of the Central Inspection Committee , land complaints, etc.
According to Journalist Nguyen Huu Dong, many current issues in the province are potential media crises, like "time bombs" if there is no timely propaganda and orientation. Therefore, forecasting and proactive information and propaganda work must be taken seriously.
In addition to current issues, representatives of the Provincial Police and the Office of the National Assembly Delegation - Provincial People's Council hope that press agencies will pay attention to propagating and warning about online fraud; contributing ideas and criticism to policies and legal regulations related to people's lives...
Mr. Tran Khac Thang - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda Department of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the positive contributions of journalists, reporters, and press agencies that have comprehensively reflected the political and social life, especially the outstanding events of the province in the first quarter.
