Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper awarded 240 scholarships to 'Study-hardworking female students'

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Van Anh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper said: The scholarship for studious female students overcoming difficulties is a meaningful program that Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper strives for and is proud of.

That journey is like a train without a station, not allowed to stop. Because as long as society still has difficult and unfortunate lives, Women's Newspaper will continue to accompany the hearts and the Women's Union to help those lives.

In addition, Ms. Van Anh sent a message to the students: “With the help of everyone, the Editorial Board of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper hopes that you will try to cherish these scholarships. When you feel its value, you will have the motivation to study and strive on the path of knowledge to change your life for the better in the future.”

Starting from the 1991-1992 school year, the scholarship program for studious female students overcoming difficulties was aimed at children of Women's Union members and female workers in difficult circumstances in districts and Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the past 33 years, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper has awarded 9,323 scholarships worth approximately 14 billion VND. This is a gift to accompany and encourage the spirit of learning, helping children overcome difficulties to continue going to school.
