On January 22, Quang Ngai Police confirmed that the Criminal Police Department had urgently arrested Pham Huynh Minh Thinh (Truong Quang Trong Ward, Quang Ngai City) to investigate the act of Rape of a person under 16 years old.
Thinh is a taekwondo coach. At the end of 2022, Thinh opened many martial arts classes for students in Truong Quang Trong ward. Thinh's students mainly come from Truong Quang Trong ward, Tinh An Dong commune, Tinh An Tay commune (Quang Ngai city).

Based on public opinion, the police investigated and collected evidence. The initial investigation showed that there was enough basis to arrest Thinh to investigate the act of Child Rape.
Quang Ngai Provincial Police informed that anyone who is a victim of Pham Huynh Minh Thinh should contact the Criminal Police Department (Quang Ngai Provincial Police) to report.
