Binh Dinh adds another factory producing pellets and wood chips for export into operation

Nhon Tan Green Energy Joint Stock Company has just inaugurated Nhon Tan Pellet Factory and Export Wood Chip Factory. The total investment capital of the two factories is 750 billion VND.

At Nhon Tan 1 Industrial Park, Nhon Tan Commune, An Nhon Town, Binh Dinh Province, Nhon Tan Green Energy Joint Stock Company has just held the inauguration ceremony of the pellet factory and the wood chip export factory.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Le Hoai Ngoc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nhon Tan Holdings Joint Stock Company, said that Nhon Tan pellet factory has a construction scale of 4.6 hectares with a total investment of 660 billion VND; the export wood chip factory has a scale of 1 hectare with a total investment of 90 billion VND.

According to Mr. Ngoc, the inauguration ceremony is a milestone marking the beginning of a journey of production and export to foreign markets such as Japan, Korea, Europe,... with a capacity of 300 thousand tons of pellets and 300 thousand tons of chipped wood per year.

“When the factories come into operation at their designed capacity, they will attract about 320 workers, with an expected annual total revenue of about 2,100 billion VND, creating an economic shift, a positive change in economic , cultural and spiritual life, making a practical contribution to the socio -economic development of Binh Dinh province in general and An Nhon town in particular...”, Mr. Ngoc affirmed.

At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, said that the Pellet Production Factory and Wood Chip Production Factory Project is one of 12 key projects of 64 projects to be put into operation in 2024.

This is a large-scale, export-oriented project that ensures the increase of added value of wood products through processing based on advanced, modern technology in the direction of automation.

Thereby, the project contributes to the wood industry reaching the milestone of 1 billion USD by 2024, in line with the product development orientation according to the Project on Developing a Sustainable and Effective Wood Processing Industry in Vietnam for the period 2021-2030 and the industrial development orientation according to the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
