Thanks to the vibrant and diverse foreign affairs activities in Binh Duong province in 2024 in terms of economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, and good combination of Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy, Binh Duong has created opportunities to consolidate and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation with international partners for the goal of sustainable development.
In Binh Duong, 2024 is the year when foreign affairs activities in the province take place actively and diversely, combining well the Party's foreign affairs, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy. Along with that, economic diplomacy activities, welcoming international delegations, cultural diplomacy activities are also promoted and take place actively with many activities.

Regarding economic diplomacy, in 2024, Binh Duong province has made efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, the province's socio-economic situation continues to improve and achieve many positive and comprehensive results in all fields. The province's gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 7.48%; GRDP per capita reached 181 million VND. Import-export turnover reached 60 billion USD, trade surplus reached 10 billion USD.
During the year, Binh Duong attracted more than 2.2 billion USD in foreign direct investment. As of December 15, 2024, the province had more than 4,400 investment projects from 65 countries and territories such as Japan, Singapore, Korea, Denmark, etc. with a total registered capital of more than 42.4 billion USD. Binh Duong currently ranks 2nd in the country in attracting foreign investment capital, after Ho Chi Minh City.
Foreign affairs activities in 2024 also marked an important milestone when Binh Duong signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a new friendly cooperative relationship with Heldeberg City (Federal Republic of Germany) and signed a Letter of Intent with Henan Province (China). Up to now, Binh Duong province has established friendly cooperative relations with 14 foreign localities and is an official member and reliable partner of 03 international organizations.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee stated that one of the important factors helping Binh Duong province achieve good results in the field of foreign affairs is thanks to the close cooperation and enthusiastic support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese diplomatic agencies abroad; Consulates General, Trade Offices, Associations, domestic and foreign enterprises...
“Since then, it has promoted, provided information and introduced to investors and the international community a friendly, dynamic and creative Binh Duong province in the development process; creating opportunities for Binh Duong to consolidate and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation with international partners for the goal of sustainable development,” said the Chairman of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the 2025 Consular and Foreign Agencies Meeting organized by the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province on December 18, 2024, Mr. Pang Te Cheng - Consul General of the Republic of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City acknowledged the outstanding achievements that Binh Duong has achieved in the past year; at the same time, highly appreciated the development strategy and investment attraction orientation of Binh Duong province in the future.
Also here, Consul General Pang Te Cheng hopes to continue cooperating with Binh Duong in many fields of economy, culture, arts, education, health, contributing to the economic development of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.
