According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training on the evening of August 2, the Vietnamese national team of 4 students participating in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2025 all excellently won medals. Among them, there was 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.

Specifically:
Le Kien Thanh, 12th grade student, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai province: Gold Medal;
Dang Huy Hau, 10th grade student, Thang Long High School for the Gifted, Lam Dong province: Silver Medal;
Nguyen Bui Duc Dung, 11th grade student, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi: Silver Medal;
Ninh Quang Thang, 12th grade student, Ha Long High School for the Gifted, Quang Ninh province: Bronze Medal.
With 100% of the contestants winning medals, the Vietnam National IOI Team is among the top 8 countries and territories with the highest results in the Medal Ranking, after China, Korea, Romania, Singapore, Bulgaria, Hungary and Japan.
As countries increasingly invest heavily in their teams in the era of digital technology and artificial intelligence, competition at the IOI Competition is increasingly fierce. However, the Vietnamese IOI Team has maintained its achievements and continues to be in the Top of the countries with the best overall achievements.
The 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025) will be held in person from July 27 to August 3, 2025 in the capital city of Sucre, Bolivia, with the official participation of 330 contestants from 86 countries and territories; Russia and Belarus will participate under the Olympic flag.
According to the regulations of the IOI Council 2025, the Exam has two official exam days. On each day, candidates will take a 5-hour computer programming test, solving 3 problems with rich content. The results will be automatically graded online by the system and the scoreboard will be announced directly throughout the two exam days (online).
The IOI 2025 exam is assessed to be highly difficult, diverse in genres with 06 tests of 06 completely different types of questions, requiring candidates to have comprehensive background knowledge, creativity and flexible thinking.
The IOI 2025 Closing and Awards Ceremony will be held by the Organizing Committee on Saturday, August 2, 2025 (starting at 4:30 p.m., Bolivian time).
