According to the spokesperson, this year's celebration is an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm the great significance of Independence Day, honor achievements in building and defending the Fatherland, and express gratitude to international friends who have accompanied and supported Vietnam throughout its history.

The Vietnamese Minister of National Defense sent invitations to the Ministers of National Defense of 8 countries: Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and invited the military forces of 5 countries (Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Belarus) to send troops to participate in the parade at the celebration.

This is a symbolic act of friendship between the people and armies of the countries, and clearly demonstrates Vietnam's foreign policy of self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification.

Responding to a question about Vietnam's handling of the case of two Korean women assaulting a Vietnamese woman, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Vietnamese authorities are verifying and clarifying relevant information to handle it in accordance with Vietnamese law.

Regarding the Cambodian media reporting on July 16 that more than 200 Vietnamese people had just been arrested in a campaign to crack down on online fraud activities in the country, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia had proactively worked with relevant agencies to find out information. The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia also requested the host country to ensure living conditions for Vietnamese citizens and coordinate to complete initial identity verification procedures.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia and relevant units to coordinate with domestic and local authorities to carry out necessary consular procedures and support citizens to return home as soon as possible.
