Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes the first Party Executive Committee Conference for the 2025-2030 term

On July 30, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held its first conference for the 2025-2030 term to deploy key tasks immediately after the first Congress of the Party Delegates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The conference aims to synchronously and systematically deploy key tasks to bring the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025-2030 into life. The conference was attended by guests who are representatives of the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Internal Affairs Committee and the Central Inspection Committee .

In his opening speech, Comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that the 1st Congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, held on July 14-15, is an important event for the Party Committee.

The successful organization of the Congress is an important political milestone, creating a solid foundation for the entire Party Committee to enter the new term with new momentum, high determination and clear direction. In the context of the world and regional situation continuing to change rapidly and complicatedly, the organization of the first Executive Committee Conference right after the Congress is of special significance, contributing to ensuring continuity, unity and effectiveness in the leadership and direction of the Ministry's Party Committee.

To ensure that the Party Committee's work is carried out effectively and without interruption during the transition period between two congresses, in recent times, the advisory and support agencies of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have actively implemented the direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry, closely coordinated with functional units to review, update and draft important documents in the spirit of closely following the direction and new documents of the Central Committee, in accordance with the practical implementation of the Party Committee.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Nam, Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Party Committee Office, presented the highlights of the draft Working Regulations and the draft Working Program of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Nguyen Quynh Trang, Member of the Executive Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, presented the main contents of the draft Working Regulations of the Party Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 term and the draft Inspection and Supervision Program of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.

The draft documents reflect the comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the spirit of innovation in leadership, direction and management methods, and the political determination of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to build a scientific and methodical working style, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Party Committee's operations in the new term.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Nam, Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Party Committee Office, presented the highlights of the draft Working Regulations and the draft Working Program of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 term.

The Conference was held in a democratic, responsible and constructive atmosphere. Delegates discussed in depth, analyzed the content of the draft documents comprehensively, and contributed many valid and practical opinions to ensure consistency, feasibility and suitability with reality. Based on the opinions, Comrade Bui Thanh Son requested the Office of the Ministry Party Committee and the Inspection Commission to promptly absorb, complete and submit the documents to the Standing Party Committee for signing and promulgation.

Affirming that these are the fundamental documents of the Party Committee for the new term, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry requested that Party committees and organizations at all levels continue to specify them in the working regulations and develop the entire working program of their level for synchronous and effective implementation.

The conference also discussed the report on the first 6-month review of the work, directions and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025 of the Ministry's Party Committee, the report on the first 6-month review of the inspection and supervision work, directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025 of the Ministry's Party Committee and the summary report on the inspection, supervision and party discipline work for the 2020-2025 term of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Party Committee.

Comrade Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered a speech directing the conference.

Regarding the work direction from now until the end of 2025 and the 2025-2030 term, the Party Secretary of the Ministry emphasized 12 key groups of tasks, focusing on:

Firstly, synchronously and effectively implement the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Action Program to implement the Resolution; prepare for the work serving the 14th National Party Congress; summarize the resolutions and conclusions of the Politburo on the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress. Secondly, resolutely implement the Resolutions of the Politburo such as Resolutions 57, 59, 66, 68, especially in technology diplomacy, digital transformation, and administrative reform.

Third, effectively direct high-level foreign affairs work, especially in the last 6 months of 2025, including activities on the occasion of National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Industry.

Fourth, closely combine politics-diplomacy, law and communication to protect maritime sovereignty and national interests; promote negotiations, signing and implementation of maritime delimitation agreements and international cooperation.

Fifth, promote diplomacy for development, focusing on building a project to submit to the Politburo on strengthening foreign relations for sustainable development; establish a digital transformation working group and promote the attraction of overseas Vietnamese resources.

Sixth, proactively raise the level of multilateral diplomacy, prepare for major events in the 2025-2030 period such as APEC 2027, the NPT Review Conference, the signing ceremony of the Hanoi Convention on Cybercrime, etc.

Seventh, promote foreign information, cultural diplomacy and work with Vietnamese people abroad, especially in citizen protection, foreign propaganda and implementation of conclusions on consular work.

Eighth, innovate information work, detect problems early, proactively propose solutions to expand markets, increase attraction of FDI, ODA, green finance, technology, etc.

Ninth, organize the implementation of the revised Regulation 272, improve the operational efficiency of Party committees and Party organizations at all levels in the entire Party Committee.

Tenth, improve the quality of Party building work, mass mobilization work, inspection and supervision work, promptly detect and handle violations, and prevent small violations from accumulating into major ones.

Eleventh, build and develop a professional, modern, and comprehensive diplomatic sector, perfect the Government's Resolution on the development of the sector to 2030, with a vision to 2045; promote strong digital transformation and apply new technologies.

Twelfth, solemnly organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Diplomatic sector, associated with the celebration of major holidays in 2025, creating a competitive atmosphere, consolidating the position and prestige of the sector.

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Comrade Bui Thanh Son commended the serious and responsible working spirit of the Executive Committee and highly appreciated the approval of 6 important documents implementing the Congress Resolution.

Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee Bui Thanh Son called on all cadres and party members to continue promoting the glorious tradition of the sector, maintain political mettle, strengthen solidarity, innovation and creativity; uphold the sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, successfully complete the 2025 goals, create a solid momentum for the comprehensive development of the diplomatic sector throughout the term and the following stages, and make practical contributions to the cause of national construction and defense in the new situation.

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Comrade Bui Thanh Son commended the serious working spirit, intellectual concentration, and high responsibility of the Party Executive Committee members, and highly appreciated the Conference's unanimous approval of 6 important documents, demonstrating high determination in promptly and effectively implementing political tasks right after the Congress.

The conference voted to pass the Resolution of the First Conference of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term I, 2025-2030, clearly identifying major orientations and key tasks that need to be focused on implementing right from the beginning of the term, requiring Party committees and Party organizations at all levels in the Party Committee to seriously implement the Working Regulations, the entire term Work Program of the Party Committee of the Ministry and the Party Committee Inspection Committee of the Ministry, striving to successfully complete the political tasks set out in 2025 and the goals and targets set out in the Resolution of the First Congress of Party Delegates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025-2030.
