“The locality has implemented a plan to plant wave-breaking trees and thousands of acacia trees in landslide areas, but these measures have not brought about the desired results. After that, the authorities and the locality have built stone embankments along the Lam River to prevent landslides. Up to now, the embanked sections have shown clear results. However, the areas that have not been embanked continue to erode every year, greatly affecting people's agricultural production,” said Mr. Chien. |
