Four inspection teams will inspect and monitor provinces and cities in the Northern, Central, Southern, and Central Highlands regions where the number of suspected measles rash fever cases is increasing or the implementation of the measles vaccination campaign in 2025 is slow.
Group 5 conducts surprise inspections and supervisions in provinces and cities in the Northern and Central Highlands regions; Group 6 conducts surprise inspections and supervisions in provinces and cities in the Southern and Central regions.
On the same day, the Ministry of Health issued urgent dispatch No. 1572 to the People's Committees of provinces and cities regarding ensuring funding for measles vaccination.
The Ministry of Health requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct specialized agencies to strictly implement the contents according to the direction of the Prime Minister on accelerating measles vaccination, and the professional guidance of the Ministry of Health on strengthening the prevention and control of influenza, measles and respiratory diseases.
The Ministry of Health will promptly and adequately arrange measles vaccines to localities based on the proposed vaccine needs of localities sent to the Ministry of Health before 5:00 p.m. on March 17, 2025.
Localities shall proactively prioritize timely arrangement and fully allocate funds from local budgets to implement measles vaccination campaigns according to regulations. At the same time, continue to allocate sufficient funds to implement activities of the expanded immunization program, including measles vaccination (except for activities guaranteed by the central budget).
