Ca Mau: Honoring 32 excellent students in the 2025 high school graduation exam

32 students were recognized as excellent students in the 2025 high school graduation exam of Ca Mau province; including two valedictorians, one of whom achieved perfect scores in history and geography.

On July 19, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province held a ceremony to honor 32 students with high achievements in the 2025 high school graduation exam. The two outstanding valedictorians were Vo Truong Gia Huan, a 12th grade student at Bac Lieu High School for the Gifted, with a total score of 37.5, achieving two 10s in math and physics; and Nguyen Ngoc Gia Bao, a 12th grade student at Phan Ngoc Hien High School for the Gifted, with a score of 36.75, the highest valedictorian in the old Ca Mau area.

The two runners-up were Huynh Dong Phat, Dien Hai High School, with 36.75 points, and Tran Tuan Kiet, Thoi Binh High School with 36.25 points.

In addition, Nguyen Trong Phuc, a student at Tan Duc Secondary and High School, attracted attention when he excellently achieved a perfect score of 10 in both history and geography, and a score of 9 in literature. Phuc's achievements were highly appreciated because he came from a difficult learning environment, but he excelled in social subjects.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau Province Nguyen Minh Luan assessed that the results of this year's exam reflected the persistent efforts not only of each student but also of the local education system. At the same time, he emphasized that this achievement was the result of the support from families, schools and the whole society.

The 2025 high school graduation exam in Ca Mau recorded a provincial graduation rate of 99.37%, significantly higher than the national average and second in the Mekong Delta region. Notably, 27 schools achieved a 100% graduation rate, many of which came from remote, isolated, and coastal areas.

At the commendation ceremony, in addition to the certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee, the two valedictorians of the 2025 high school graduation exam were also sponsored by a business, each with a motorbike worth 21 million VND, in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
