Five works won the Hanoi Writers Association Award 2024
The final jury voted by secret ballot and decided to award the Hanoi Writers Association Award 2024 to the following works: The poetry collection Going to the Sun (Writers Association Publishing House) by Le Canh Nhac, consisting of 122 poems with passionate lyrical rhythms praising the soul of the homeland and the love of the country; The poetry collection Dem Hoa Vang (Writers Association Publishing House) by Binh Nguyen Trang, with more than 40 poems rich in narrative and contemplative qualities, leaning towards depicting moods; The prose collection Hoa Khoi Trinh (Writers Association Publishing House) by poet Nguyen Linh Khieu, a collection of contemplative prose with more than 80 short essays recording memories over the years; The collection of critical theories of Vietnamese Literature since the 1986 renovation milestone (Literature Publishing House) by writer Phung Van Khai, which gathers literary portraits of many writers who have contributed to the development of contemporary Vietnamese literature; and a bilingual collection of poems translated by 10 great contemporary Chinese poets (Writers Association Publishing House) by translator Nguyen Huu Thang. The Executive Committee of the Hanoi Writers Association also decided to award the Lifetime Award to writer Le Luu.
