(NLDO) - Mr. Pham Minh An, Director of the Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, has committed violations and shortcomings in his work.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has just decided to discipline Mr. Pham Minh An (born in 1964, former director of the Department of Health) by removing him from office.
The reason for the disciplinary action was that he had committed violations and shortcomings in his work and the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee had taken disciplinary action against him. Mr. An is currently being prosecuted for the crime of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences, lack of responsibility causing serious consequences".
Previously, the People's Procuracy of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued an indictment in the case of "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences, lack of responsibility causing serious consequences", related to bidding package No. 25 to purchase equipment for the Hybrid orthopedic trauma operating room at Vung Tau General Hospital.

The subjects Ta Quang Truong (born in 1968, Deputy General Director of Vimedimex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company); Le Huu Le (born in 1975, Head of Medical Equipment Department of Vimedimex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company); Huynh Tuan Anh (born in 1984, Director of Ta Thien An Trading and Service Company Limited) were all prosecuted for violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.
According to the investigation agency, bid package No. 25 had a winning bid price of nearly 38 billion VND, but the violations of 6 subjects caused a loss of more than 18.3 billion VND to the investor, the Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
In which, former Director of the Department of Health Pham Minh An did not fulfill his responsibilities, causing damage. Because he trusted Tran Manh Hai, he approved without checking the documents, to grasp the content of the report prepared by the consulting unit based on the draft valuation certificate, not the official version.
