The installation of equipment, plastic boards, etc. for music events affects the quality of the field. For this reason, in the group stage, the Vietnamese team had to choose Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ) to compete, even though the original plan was My Dinh Stadium.

Viet Tri Stadium with a capacity of 20,000 seats, only half of My Dinh Stadium, is expected to not meet the demand of fans if the Vietnamese team reaches the semi-finals. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will lose a large source of support from the fans.

In the coming time, the management board of My Dinh Stadium will have to actively take care of and maintain the grass surface to return it to its original state. After that, the organizing committee of the AFF Cup 2024 will have a practical assessment to see if My Dinh Stadium is qualified to host the tournament or not.
