Speaking at the Competition, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee expressed that Quang Ninh province is honored to be the venue for the Asia- Pacific Robot Competition organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Association. This is not only a technical competition event, but also a testament to the development of science and technology and the creativity of the young generation, of technology-loving students in the Asia - Pacific region.
According to Mr. Huy, in the coordination work, Quang Ninh province has directed departments, branches, localities... to prepare the best facilities, competition venues, equipment conditions, ensuring international standards, having plans to ensure absolute security and safety for contestants from other countries, ensuring medical work, information and communication work, visual propaganda... with the goal of coordinating in the most positive, proactive and responsible way so that the ABU Robocon 2024 Competition takes place successfully.
Mr. Ahmed Nadeem, Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), said that this year's competition marks the 23rd year that ABU Robocon has been held. Among the many projects implemented by ABU to nurture future engineers in the Asia-Pacific region, ABU Robocon stands out as a unique and meaningful event. The competition affirms its position as a major robot competition in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Head of the Organizing Committee of ABU Robocon 2024 emphasized that the event is not only a competition, but also an opportunity for young people to exchange, learn and share experiences. In addition to the official matches, the Organizing Committee will also organize many attractive sideline activities such as exchanging and sharing knowledge about programming, robot construction, and tours of the natural heritage of Ha Long Bay.
