(CLO) On the afternoon of October 30, the Standing Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee held the Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony for the 3rd Can Tho City Party Building Journalism Award (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) - 2024.
After nearly 4 months of implementation and launching, the Organizing Committee of the 3rd Can Tho City Party Building Journalism Award (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) - 2024 received 237 works from 74 authors and 35 groups of authors, including 5 types of journalism: 50 printed newspapers, 26 electronic newspapers, 42 television works, 34 radio works, and 85 press photos.

According to the jury's assessment, the entries all adhered to the rules of the competition, were of high quality, and were quite even, so the average scores between the winning entries were not much different. Most of the entries closely followed hot issues and outstanding events of the city; exploited rich materials from practical situations at the grassroots level; and were carefully invested in both content and form.
The themes of the entries comprehensively reflect all aspects of Party building in terms of politics , ideology, ethics, organization and cadres; reflect outstanding results in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th City Party Congress and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, the Central Committee's resolutions on building and developing Can Tho City in the new period; Party building and rectification work; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style... Some entries praise advanced examples, good people, good deeds, good and effective models that can be replicated.
As a result, the Jury and Organizing Committee unanimously selected 50 works to award city-level prizes, including: 5 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 15 C prizes, 20 Encouragement prizes; selected 2 individuals as typical characters in the works to be rewarded.
