On the afternoon of December 11, the investigative police had to withdraw after many hours of gathering outside the Presidential Office because the Presidential Palace security force refused to cooperate.

Information said that an investigation team of 18 people from the police investigation was sent to the President's Office to collect information and documents related to the process of declaring martial law on charges of rebellion.

The documents sought include records of a Cabinet meeting held shortly before President Yoon declared martial law on the night of December 3.

However, as of 4 p.m., investigators had not yet entered the Presidential Office building because they could not agree on how to conduct the search with the Presidential Office security force. President Yoon's office voluntarily submitted very few documents to the police.

The police investigation agency's search warrant lists President Yoon as a suspect and the Presidential Office, Cabinet meeting room, Presidential Security Service and Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) building as the subjects of the search.

The JCS headquarters is located in the same complex, and the martial law command used the basement as a situation control room during the six hours martial law was enforced.

President Yoon has been placed under investigation by police on charges of rebellion and mutiny.

He was also banned from leaving the country, becoming the first sitting President to be banned from leaving the country.
