Apple has just released iOS 18.6, the sixth major update to the iOS 18 operating system, just two months after the release of iOS 18.5. This update focuses on fixing bugs and enhancing security for iPhone users.
According to Apple's description, iOS 18.6 "provides important bug fixes and security updates, as well as addresses an issue in the Photos app that could prevent sharing memories."

iOS 18.6 provides a series of security patches for iPhone (Photo: 9to5mac).
Users can install iOS 18.6 by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update . This version is compatible with all devices that already support iOS 18.5.
Along with iOS 18.6, Apple also released iPadOS 18.6 and macOS Sequoia 15.6. According to Apple's support document, these updates address dozens of critical security vulnerabilities, so users are advised to install them immediately.
Specifically, MacRumors said iOS 18.6 and iPadOS 18.6 patched more than 20 security vulnerabilities, including an issue with Accessibility that could cause VoiceOver to read passcode information aloud. Meanwhile, macOS Sequoia 15.6 fixes more than 80 security vulnerabilities that could potentially cause device crashes or leak sensitive data.
Apple emphasizes that software updates are one of the most important measures to maintain the security of its products, and recommends that users update their devices to the latest software version to avoid risks from these security vulnerabilities.
