Update many new techniques in joint replacement

The Vietnam Association of Arthroscopy and Joint Replacement (VAAS) recently held an international conference with the theme "Better results with advanced techniques" attracting many presentations and research from experts in the field of joint replacement, sports medicine and new updates on new medical techniques and materials.

Dr. Tang Ha Nam Anh reports at the conference

In the special report “Superpath hip replacement discharged 24 hours”, Dr. Tang Ha Nam Anh, President of the Vietnam Arthroscopy and Joint Replacement Association, emphasized the role of minimally invasive surgical techniques and the early recovery after surgery (ERAS) program to help patients be pain-free, recover quickly after surgery, walk after only 3 hours after surgery and be able to return home after 24 hours. The SuperPath incision is considered a new advancement in hip replacement surgery with the advantage of being less invasive, maximally preserving the muscle structure and soft tissue around the joint, especially the external rotator cuff, shortening recovery time and improving the quality of life of patients.

In the report "Planning for orthopedic osteotomy in the treatment of early-stage knee osteoarthritis in young people", MSc.-MD. Do Van Loi, an orthopedic trauma expert, emphasized the role of orthopedic surgery around the knee joint, one of the trends in conservative treatment of the knee joint in patients with early-stage knee osteoarthritis, who are young and still want to move a lot.
