Previously, the record for the highest daily temperature since the beginning of 2024 was recorded in Xiangyang at 43.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Agency, on April 28, the Son La, Hoa Binh areas and from Nghe An to Phu Yen will have particularly intense heat with temperatures at 1 p.m. generally ranging from 38 to 41 degrees Celsius, with some places above 41 degrees Celsius such as Yen Chau (Son La) 41.8 degrees Celsius, Huong Khe (Ha Tinh) 42.4 degrees Celsius, Dong Hoi ( Quang Binh ) 42 degrees Celsius, Dong Ha (Quang Tri) 43.2 degrees Celsius, Ba To (Quang Ngai) 41 degrees Celsius...; the lowest relative humidity is commonly 30 to 35%.
Other places in the North, Central Highlands and South have hot and extremely hot weather with temperatures at 1pm commonly ranging from 35 - 38 degrees Celsius, some places above 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 50 - 55%.
