“The simplification of visa procedures is a clear demonstration of the efforts to promote cooperation between our two countries. Not only does it help Vietnamese people travel to Turkey more conveniently, the eVisa policy also creates a strong driving force for development in areas such as culture, education , trade and especially tourism.”

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Vietnam, Mr. Korhan Kemik, confirmed that Türkiye will issue eVisas to Vietnamese citizens from September 1, 2025.

Bridge connecting two countries

The ceremony to announce the new policy for Vietnam and launch the Vietnam-Turkey Tourism Exchange Product Development Alliance with the theme “eVisa – Taking Off the Turkish Dream,” which took place in Hanoi, has opened a promising journey of bilateral tourism cooperation between the two countries.

This is not simply a policy exchange but a milestone, as for the first time the Vietnam - Türkiye Tourist Exchange Product Development Alliance commits to working together with the government, tourism businesses and airlines.

Not only does Ambassador Korhan Kemik act as a diplomatic representative, he also has a vision of tourism as a bridge connecting people. “When people travel, they gain new perspectives and bring back lasting connections, which is exactly what we want to foster between Turkey and Vietnam,” the Ambassador affirmed.

Along with the open visa policy, the story of aviation connectivity is also considered key. Turkish Airlines – the national airline of Türkiye has now operated flights to Vietnam and is expected to increase flight frequency from October 2025.

The Turkish Ambassador emphasized: “Increasing flights will not only facilitate tourists but also open effective B2B promotion channels between businesses of the two countries.”

Turkish Airlines Director in Vietnam, Mr. Gayret Yuksel, said the airline is ready to accompany Vietnamese travel companies through famtrip programs with preferential price policies and joint promotional campaigns.

New strategic destination

“This is one of the most meaningful events for the travel community today. From eVisa and convenient flights, Vietnamese businesses have the conditions to build new, attractive and effective tourism products to Türkiye,” said HUTC Chairman Truong Quoc Hung on behalf of the co-organizer - Hanoi Unesco Travel Club (HUTC).

According to Mr. Truong Quoc Hung, this connection is the beginning of a strategic orientation to build a product development alliance between HUTC members and Turkish partners, effectively exploiting the two-way market. This is also a preparation for the HUTC delegation to participate in the International Tourism Fair ITF Türkiye on September 25 - one of the largest fairs in the region.

Representatives of many businesses in the Hanoi Unesco Travel Club said they are particularly interested in specialized tourism products in Türkiye, from heritage tours to Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus to resort destinations and nature explorations such as Troy or Antalya. In particular, the Halal tourism product line is emphasized as a new trend, not only for the Muslim community but also opening up indigenous cultural experiences for international tourists.

The Counselor for Tourism and Culture of the Embassy of Türkiye in Malaysia (in charge of the Vietnamese market), Mr. Mustafa Korkutata, also helped Vietnamese businesses better understand suitable product groups, access strategies and tourist growth potential.

From sharing experiences to specific proposals on tours, target groups, digital media and upcoming promotion programs from Turkish businesses and embassies, the “handshake” has contributed to arousing expectations for a new journey, a journey of culturally rich tours and flights carrying messages of friendship between the two countries.

“We believe that Türkiye will soon become a strategic destination on the outbound map of the business community in the Hanoi Unesco Travel Club. At the same time, we also expect to welcome more Turkish tourists to explore Vietnam,” said Mr. Truong Quoc Hung.
