Specifically, the mining industry decreased by 5.9% compared to June but increased by 33.4% compared to the same period; the processing and manufacturing industry decreased by 5.7% compared to the previous month, increased by 22.9% compared to the same period; the electricity production and distribution industry decreased by 2.8% compared to June, increased by 2.2% compared to the same period; the water supply and waste treatment industry decreased by 1.0% compared to the previous month, increased by 3.1% compared to the same period.

Accumulated to the end of July, the industrial production index of the whole industry increased by 7.7% over the same period. Of which, mining decreased by 6.7% over the same period; processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.7%; electricity production and distribution decreased by 13.4%; water supply and waste treatment industry increased by 13.1%...

According to Mr. Le Vu Thuong, some industrial products in the first 7 months of 2024 had an increased production index compared to the same period last year, including automobile products manufactured and assembled at nearly 40.9 thousand units (up 14.4%); cotton woven fabrics with a cotton content of 85% or more were 1,359 thousand square meters (up 11.5%); suits, uniforms, jackets, trousers, overalls, shorts for adults not knitted or crocheted were 90.5 million pieces (up 15.5%); tire cord fabric was 35 million square meters (up 74.6%); sewing thread made from silk was 2.9 thousand tons (up 4.5%); wood shavings and chips were 366.7 thousand tons (up 38%); and burnt clay construction bricks were 69 million pieces, up 30.3%).

Meanwhile, industrial products in the first 7 months of 2024 with a decrease in product production index compared to the same period were other natural sand (down 22.9%); soft drinks (down 1.6%); beer of all kinds (down 71.3%); variable resistors of wound type (down 18.2%); electricity production (down 19.4%)...
