The Government assigned the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction to handle the proposal to support the budget for the construction of the road connecting Dong Nai with Binh Phuoc.

(DN) - The Government Office has issued Document No. 5499/VPCP-KTTH (dated June 19, 2025) to the Ministers of Finance, Construction and the Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to notify the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc on investment capital for the construction of the road connecting Dong Nai province with Binh Phuoc province.

Accordingly, considering the proposal of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province on supporting the central budget to invest in the construction of the road connecting Dong Nai province with Binh Phuoc province, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc assigned the Ministry of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Construction and relevant agencies to consider the proposal of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, propose and report to the Prime Minister in June 2025 an appropriate handling plan, in accordance with the provisions of the law on public investment and related laws.

Regarding the proposal to assign Dong Nai province as the competent authority to implement the Ma Da Bridge construction investment project, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc requested the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to properly implement the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha in Official Dispatch No. 4883/VPCP-CN (dated June 3, 2025).

Previously, in document No. 4883, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to accept the opinions of the Ministry of Finance to study and complete the adjustment of the Dong Nai Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 in accordance with the provisions of the law on planning. On that basis, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province organized the implementation of the Ma Da Bridge Construction Investment Project (after the competent authority approved the plan to arrange administrative units at all levels and organize local governments at 2 levels) and the road connecting Binh Phuoc province and Dong Nai province (section in Dong Nai province) according to its authority, ensuring efficiency.

Regarding this issue, on June 20, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung signed Document No. 702/TTg-QHDP to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province on the policy of adjusting the Planning of Dong Nai province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Accordingly, the policy of adjusting the Provincial Planning according to the simplified procedures and order as proposed by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province was approved to implement the Project of building a road connecting Dong Nai province with Binh Phuoc province via Ma Da bridge.

According to the proposal of Dong Nai province, the project to build a road connecting Dong Nai province with Binh Phuoc province from Provincial Road 761 Ma Da Bridge to the intersection with Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City through the province has a length of 44km, with a scale of 8 lanes. In which, the Ma Da Bridge construction investment project has a scale of 8 lanes, in phase 1, the project is expected to invest with a scale of 4 lanes. The project to build Ma Da Bridge and the road connecting with Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City has a total estimated investment of more than 11 trillion VND (Ma Da Bridge is about 220 billion VND, the road is about 44km long, about 10.8 trillion VND).
