Verification by the Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health showed that Mr. LTT (30 years old, living in Phu Yen ) was the driver and owner of the ambulance that caught fire.
Working with the Health Department Inspector, Mr. T. said that at around noon on March 5, he was opening the valve to check the oxygen tank in the car when suddenly there was an explosion and the car caught fire from the inside.
According to him, he bought the car about 6 months ago but has not yet completed the transfer procedures. The car is used to transport patients and is often parked at his house in Phu Yen. When a patient is discharged from the hospital, he will take the car from Phu Yen to Ho Chi Minh City to pick them up.
Mr. T. admitted that the vehicle was not licensed to operate in emergency transportation or patient transportation.

The Health Department Inspector added that the burnt ambulance was issued a certificate of inspection and a license to use the vehicle's signal equipment with priority by the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police. However, the unit that was granted the certificate was 115 Xuyen A Company Limited.
In particular, the Health Department Inspector also determined that the vehicle was not on the list of vehicles licensed to operate as an ambulance of 115 Xuyen A Company Limited.
Currently, this unit is continuing to coordinate with authorities to clarify violations in emergency transportation and patient transportation in the above case.
Previously, at around 12 noon on March 5, people discovered a fire breaking out in a parking lot on Le Hong Phong Street with an explosion.
Authorities later determined that the fire started from an ambulance parked in the lot.
