In particular, the survey trips at the end of July by the Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi in the old coastal area of Binh Thuan showed a new spirit, a new drastic approach, to remove and clear the "bottlenecks" of development that have been "blocked" for many years.
It is no coincidence that public opinion is particularly interested in the coastal area of Lam Dong, because this place is considered a strategic "gateway" for the new Lam Dong to reach out to the sea. With geographical advantages, increasingly complete infrastructure, after the two key expressways Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay were put into operation, along with rich resources such as: minerals, forests, wind, sunshine, seaports and sea tourism... the old Binh Thuan area is an important "piece" in the strategy of developing a sustainable marine economy and green tourism for the new Lam Dong.
However, that great potential has been held back by a series of obstacles, the most prominent of which are overlapping planning, especially the national titanium mineral reserve planning, causing dozens of off-budget projects to be "frozen", wasting resources and development opportunities, despite the efforts of provincial leaders in previous periods of the old Binh Thuan to resolve them.
This is a painful reality that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and the collective leadership of the Provincial People's Committee also frankly acknowledged and shared with the press at the press conference on the afternoon of August 1, when this "congestion" issue was mentioned by reporters. Instead of avoiding, the provincial leaders listened, took note, and at the same time gave directions for resolving it, with the spirit of determination and the highest responsibility. In particular, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the implementation of the newly issued Resolution 68 is considered the "key" to resolving unfinished projects - along with the strong direction of the Prime Minister on handling legal problems nationwide, which is a "golden" opportunity for coastal Lam Dong to break through. In particular, the smooth coordination between the Central and local governments in reviewing the entire planning, especially the "immobile" areas due to titanium, will be a prerequisite for investors to feel secure in returning, for the government to boldly open the way and for people to benefit from sustainable development.
Remember in the previous working session with the leaders of the 3 provinces, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: The merger of the 3 provinces is not just a mechanical accumulation, but must create a resonance value of "equal to 5, equal to 6". If the old Binh Thuan area is considered the door to the sea, then the new Lam Dong is the boat that is opening its sails to reach the ocean, with faith, innovation and real action from the new "steers"!
Hopefully, with new policies and field surveys to remove the "bottlenecks" as recently, as well as with the long-term development strategy of the provincial leaders, "Blue Sea Lam Dong" will develop commensurate with its potential advantages, to join Dak Nong and the old Lam Dong in bringing the new Lam Dong to the big sea.
