Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices today, August 3, in the Central Highlands region decreased slightly, fluctuating between 99,200 - 99,500 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Lam Dong province (formerly Dak Nong ) are purchasing coffee at 99,500 VND/kg. A slight decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 99,500 VND/kg, down 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province decreased by VND400/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND99,400/kg.
In Lam Dong province, in Ward 1, Bao Loc, Hoa Ninh, Duc Trong, and Dinh Van Lam Ha communes, coffee prices decreased by VND600/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND99,200/kg.

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the coffee market in July recorded a revival in both domestic and export markets, however, the price increase was quite slight. Robusta coffee prices in the Central Highlands at the end of July were about VND3,000 higher than at the beginning of the month. The main reason was due to increased global demand and limited supply from Brazil.
In July, Vietnam exported about 180,000 tons of coffee, worth nearly $700 million. Compared to the same period last year, output increased by 35% and export value nearly doubled. However, processing enterprises are facing difficulties due to increasingly scarce domestic raw materials, causing profit margins to narrow significantly.
Regarding the reciprocal tax from the US, the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA) said that the competition between Vietnam and major coffee exporting countries such as Indonesia, Brazil, Colombia and Ethiopia is very tense. Due to the high price of coffee, combined with the regulation of having to pay 5% VAT in advance from July 1, the capital pressure for exporting enterprises has increased sharply, reducing their competitiveness and forcing them to consider whether to export or keep goods for the domestic market.
World coffee prices today
On the London exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures contract for September 2025 delivery closed this morning's trading session on August 3 at 3,330 USD/ton, down 2.09% (71 USD/ton) compared to yesterday's trading session; the November 2025 futures contract decreased 2.16% (72 USD/ton), to 3,259 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, compared to yesterday, the price of Arabica coffee futures for September 2025 delivery decreased by 3.92% (11.6 US cents/pound), down to 284.2 US cents/pound; the December 2025 futures contract decreased by 3.86% (11.15 US cents/pound), reaching 277.55 US cents/pound.
According to Reuters and Barchart, world coffee prices fell sharply over the weekend, especially Arabica prices, which fell to a three-week low. A US broker said the market fell into a sell-off, causing coffee prices to fall rapidly.
The main reason comes from the news that US President Donald Trump may consider exempting coffee exports from Brazil from tariffs. This information has somewhat eased concerns about supply, thereby creating downward pressure on Arabica coffee prices.
Organizations such as the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Association (Cecafe) and the National Coffee Association of America (NCA) are actively working with US trade officials to discuss the possibility of this exemption. US Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Lutnick, has also mentioned the possibility of exempting goods that are not produced domestically.
