Previously, in the trading session on July 29, the VN-Index plunged 64 points right after reaching a historic peak.
Notably, the sharp decline on July 29 was also the first time the total market trading value reached nearly VND80,000 billion, with more than 3.2 billion shares changing hands. Of which, the HoSE floor alone accounted for more than VND71,000 billion of total liquidity.
All 30 stocks in the VN30 basket were in red, with HDB, SSI, MSN and TPB hitting the floor. Many other large-cap stocks also fell sharply, near the floor, such as GVR, LPB, SHB, VJC, VPB, SSB, MWG, BVH, BID..
In the last two sessions, the trading applications of some securities companies recorded connection errors when using the analysis and information lookup features. Many times, the electronic boards of securities companies were "frozen", unable to update the VN-Index score accurately.
Specifically, features such as viewing price charts, liquidity data, and foreign transaction statistics on the SSI application could not be loaded or were very slow. Some other securities companies such as MBS and VNDirect also experienced intermittent problems when accessing the application at the beginning of the session, but they were resolved immediately afterwards.
