On the international front, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) is said to be considering an early interest rate cut to ease tariff pressures and support growth. If this happens, the interest rate gap between the US and Japan could narrow, making the Yen more attractive to international investors.

Goldman Sachs analyst Kamakshya Trivedi predicts the yen could strengthen to 140 yen per dollar, driven by safe-haven demand amid economic uncertainty. That’s a more optimistic forecast than Bloomberg analysts who see the yen hitting 145 yen per dollar by year-end.
