(CLO) Marius Borg Høiby, 27 years old, son of Mette-Marit, wife of Crown Prince Haakon Magnus, has just been accused of being involved in a second rape case just a few days after being arrested on similar suspicions.
The Oslo District Court held a hearing on the first case on Wednesday (November 20). Police said they discovered a new sexual assault during the investigation.

According to investigators, both cases involved sexual acts with victims who were unable to resist. This type of crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison under Norwegian law.
Høiby has previously admitted to several acts of physical violence, property damage, and threats against his ex-girlfriend, but has denied the sexual assault allegations. His lawyer, Øyvind Bratlien, has said Høiby has not admitted guilt in the recently reported rape cases.
Police also confirmed that the first victim, a woman in her 20s, did not know Høiby before the incident. The second victim was also described as being defenseless at the time of the attack. Both incidents are being investigated.
The Norwegian royal family has spoken out about the incident, with Crown Prince Haakon stressing that the matter is serious and expressing his sympathies to those affected. He also called for the justice system to do its job fairly and transparently.
Høiby is the son of the Crown Princess before she married Crown Prince Haakon in 2001. In addition to the two current charges, Høiby has previously been arrested on charges of violating a restraining order, assaulting a former girlfriend, and drug use.
