Implementing the direction of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security ; Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support and help the people in the North overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, on the afternoon of September 11, Nghe An Provincial Police organized a launching ceremony to support the people affected by storm No. 3.

Attending the ceremony were Major General Bui Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department; leaders of the Provincial Police Department; leaders of departments and offices of the Provincial Police Department, and a large number of officers and soldiers.

In recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 3, people in the northern provinces and cities have suffered extremely heavy losses in terms of human lives and property. The storm and its aftermath have left many people dead and missing, many houses swept away and collapsed, many areas of crops and aquatic products flooded and lost; many traffic works and bridges were swept away and damaged; many places are still cut off and isolated. The authorities, including the police, are working hard to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Bui Quang Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, emphasized: Storm No. 3 and its circulation caused extremely heavy damage to the lives and property of the people in the North. Right now, people in the storm and flood areas are in great need of attention and assistance from all levels, sectors and the whole society to soon stabilize their lives.

Implementing the direction of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security; responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to support and help the people of the North to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, with the spirit of "highest, fastest, most timely" support, on behalf of the leadership of the Provincial Police, Major General Bui Quang Thanh called on officers and soldiers of the entire Nghe An Police force to promote the tradition of solidarity, the morality of "mutual love and support", "the rich help the poor", contribute at least 1 day's salary to join hands to encourage and support people in disaster-stricken areas to overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives, and restore production.

The Provincial Police Director requested police units and localities to launch campaigns within their units as well as mobilize and call on charitable organizations and individuals to support and coordinate in visiting and giving gifts to people affected by storm No. 3.

Responding to the call, the leaders of the Provincial Police, leaders of departments and offices, officers and soldiers have raised a total of more than 4 billion VND to support people in the North to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives.

In the coming time, Nghe An Provincial Police will organize delegations to directly give gifts to people affected by storm No. 3 and support forces to help people gradually stabilize their lives.
