(NLDO) – Ho Chi Minh City police will increase propaganda and impose stronger penalties on acts of fighting on the road.
On the afternoon of January 5, Ho Chi Minh City Police organized a press conference to announce the results of ensuring social order and safety in 2024 and some key tasks in 2025.
At the information session, a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper asked questions about the issue of traffic violation penalties and handling of acts of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury while traveling on the road.
Responding to Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that after 3 days of applying the new traffic violation penalty regulations, from January 1 to January 4, the Traffic Police Department and the Police of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City have penalized 6,106 traffic violations with a total fine of more than 10 billion VND.

Of which, the traffic police in Ho Chi Minh City penalized 225 cases of running red lights with 7 cars and 218 motorbikes.
"Many violations have had their fines increased sharply. Ho Chi Minh City Police warn people to strictly obey traffic rules when participating in traffic, and pay attention to violations that result in heavy fines, point deductions, and driver's license revocation" - Ho Chi Minh City Police advises.
Regarding acts of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury while traveling on the road, Ho Chi Minh City Police have promptly and strictly investigated these cases that have caused a stir in public opinion.

In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City Police will increase propaganda and impose more severe penalties on acts of fighting while driving on the road. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City Police also said that they are implementing a peak crime suppression campaign during the Lunar New Year of At Ty.
