Regarding the incident in which two people were shot while traveling on National Highway N2, on the border between Long An and Dong Thap provinces, this afternoon (July 2), Tan Thanh District Police, Long An Province said they had received a report from a couple about the incident.
The police worked directly with and collected information from the couple. Thereby, they determined that the area where the incident occurred was on the border of Dong Thap and Long An provinces. Tan Thanh District Police are coordinating with local police in Dong Thap Province to investigate and arrest the suspect.

Previously, a clip was posted on social media about a couple riding a motorbike on National Highway N2 being attacked by two strangers. Accordingly, around noon on July 1, when passing the roundabout of My An town (Thap Muoi district, Dong Thap province), two men on a motorbike followed the couple's motorbike.
Two strangers jumped in front of the car, used an object that looked like an air gun to fire one shot that hit the husband’s helmet and the wife’s left calf. One of the men also used a knife to slash the husband’s leg, but because his pants were thick and hit the phone in his pocket, he was not injured.

Seeing that, the husband still let his wife sit in the front, then reached out to take the wheel, accelerating towards Long An province. When they reached the section in Thu Thua district, Long An province, they met a rescue vehicle and were assisted by this vehicle to a refreshment shop on National Highway N2 in Thu Thua district.
The clip shows the husband’s helmet showing signs of being hit by a bullet, and the wife’s left calf showing a bleeding wound, suspected to have been caused by an air gun. After receiving first aid, the couple continued on to Binh Duong, then returned to Long An province to report the incident.
According to initial information, the victim couple was followed by strangers, forced to leave their car, and shot at on National Highway N2 from Doc Binh Kieu Commune, Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap to Tan Ninh Commune, Tan Thanh District, Long An Province.
