Previously, on the morning of June 15, Thu Duc City (HCMC) officially conducted a survey for grade 6 admission at 3 secondary schools. With 2,837 students participating in the survey, 3 schools will select 980 students for grade 6.
Grade 6 quotas at schools, specifically: Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School recruits 9 grade 6 classes (including at least 4 integrated English classes) with 315 students. Hoa Lu Secondary School recruits 11 grade 6 classes (including at least 2 integrated English classes) with 385 students. Binh Tho Secondary School recruits 8 grade 6 classes (including at least 3 integrated English classes) with 280 students. The content of the capacity assessment for grade 6 includes: The assessment of the following competencies: Language (English, Vietnamese - writing); mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences , social sciences (history - geography); application, solving practical problems. Form: Includes multiple choice and essay sections. Multiple choice section: Candidates take a 20-question multiple choice test in English on understanding natural sciences , social sciences and application, solving practical problems within 30 minutes.
Essay section: Candidates take a 60-minute test, including: English proficiency test: reading comprehension, writing. Candidates take the test in English.
Test of mathematical and logical thinking ability, reading comprehension and writing ability. Candidates take the test in Vietnamese.
The time limit for all sections of the survey is 90 minutes.
