Labour Party wins majority, Keir Starmer will become British Prime Minister

Accordingly, up to now, the Labor Party has won 410 seats out of 650 seats in the House of Commons. Meanwhile, the Conservative Party has only won 117 seats - the biggest defeat in the history of this party.

Thus, the Labour Party has won more than the minimum number of seats (326 seats) to gain a majority in the House of Commons. This result means that the Labour Party leader, Mr. Keir Starmer will become the new Prime Minister of the UK.

After the preliminary results, Mr Starmer vowed to bring change to Britain as the next prime minister.

In his speech, Mr Starmer said: “The change starts now… We have done it. Today we begin the next chapter in the transformation of our country.”

Mr Sunak has also conceded defeat and said he had called Mr Starmer to congratulate him on Labour's victory.

Around 250 Conservative politicians are expected to lose their seats after this general election, including many senior ministers and former Prime Minister Liz Truss.

After the convincing victory of the Labour Party, Mr. Starmer will take power at a time when the UK is facing many challenges to solve, including tax issues, improving people's living standards and the quality of public services...

In addition, Mr. Starmer also pledged to improve relations with the European Union to resolve issues arising from Britain's departure from the bloc.

On many other foreign policy issues, Mr Starmer's policies are similar to those of his predecessor Sunak.
