A sea of Chinese people on zero-dong tours flocked to Quang Ninh on the morning of March 28.

Notably, due to the large number of visitors, Mong Cai International Border Gate was partially congested. Thousands of tourists stood and sat around the border gate waiting to complete immigration procedures.

According to Thanh Nien , starting at 8 a.m. the same day (March 28), Mong Cai International Border Gate opened to welcome tour buses to pick up Chinese tourists.

As noon approached, more and more tourists came to check in, most of whom were elderly Chinese tourists.

In the past 2 weeks, Mong Cai International Border Gate has welcomed an average of 10,000 Chinese visitors per day.

After completing immigration procedures, these elderly people were quickly taken to shops around the border gate area to shop.

Speaking to reporters, a leader of Mong Cai City said that after Thanh Nien 's report, local authorities have established an interdisciplinary team to conduct a comprehensive inspection of stores that specialize in welcoming Chinese guests.

Accordingly, the local government's viewpoint is to strictly handle stores selling counterfeit goods and goods of unknown origin and will revoke their operating licenses. Recently, Chinese tourists have become more active again, if not closely monitored, zero-dong tours will explode, then handling will be more difficult.

Below are images of Chinese elderly people entering Quang Ninh in droves, causing local congestion at Mong Cai International Border Gate:
