Mr. Tran Manh Hung was the Chairman of Hai Phong Football Club from 2014 to 2021. Mr. Hung also held the position of Vice President of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF).

During his time as a football manager, from the club level (Hai Phong) to the professional tournament management level (VPF), Mr. Tran Manh Hung was famous for being a person with a rich personality.
The most notable achievement during Mr. Hung's tenure as Chairman of Hai Phong Football Club was helping the team win the 2016 V-League runner-up position, as well as winning the 2014 National Football Cup.
Also during the period when Mr. Tran Manh Hung was the Chairman of Hai Phong Football Club, he and the team welcomed goalkeeper Dang Van Lam, when this goalkeeper faced the most difficulties. That was the time when Dang Van Lam was not yet famous.
Thanks to the years playing for Hai Phong Club during the period when Mr. Tran Manh Hung was the Club's President, Dang Van Lam gradually affirmed his name, before becoming the number one goalkeeper of Vietnamese football from 2018-2022.
