Vietnam National University, Hanoi breaks through in world rankings 2025

In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has made a strong breakthrough with 2 groups of subjects and 12 subjects ranked. Of these, 10/12 subjects are in the top 500.


Information from Hanoi National University on the morning of March 13 said that Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Education Organization has just announced the results of the university rankings in 55 fields belonging to 5 field groups of 1,747 higher education institutions with about 21,000 training programs at universities.

In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 (QS WUR by Subject 2025), Vietnam National University, Hanoi has a strong breakthrough with 2 groups of fields and 12 fields ranked, of which 10/12 fields are in the top 500.

Among the 12 fields of Hanoi National University ranked in QS WUR by Subject 2025, 5/12 fields were ranked for the first time, 5/12 fields increased their ranking position compared to the previous period and 1 field was ranked again.

In addition, in the QS WUR by Subject 2025 ranking, Hanoi National University also has 2 groups of fields re-ranked: "Engineering and Technology" group in the top 451-500 and "Social Sciences and Management" group in the top 501-500.

The QS World University Rankings 2025 ranks 1,747 higher education institutions with around 21,000 university degree programmes.

QS's ranking criteria emphasize the contribution and impact of the training quality of a training industry/field on society (through the assessment of scholars and employers); contributions to scientific research activities (through the level of citations and H-index) and the ability to internationalize scientific research (through international research networks).
