The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training directs public educational institutions, investors, and foreign-invested schools to accept students transferred from Saigon Pearl International School according to demand.

Public educational institutions and investors, foreign-invested schools accept students transferred from Saigon Pearl International Kindergarten and Saigon Pearl International Primary, Secondary and High School according to demand, creating conditions for students to quickly integrate and stabilize their studies.

This is the directive on February 20 of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training regarding the announcement of Saigon Pearl International Kindergarten and Saigon Pearl International Primary, Middle and High School to stop operating at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also directed schools to organize normal teaching and learning from now until the end of the school year, ensuring quality maintenance, promptly implementing solutions to ensure students' learning rights, and not allowing students' learning to be interrupted.

The school needs to organize a meeting with parents to discuss support and create favorable conditions to complete the transfer documents for students, avoiding causing disruption and affecting security and order in the area.

Along with that, the school ensures to implement policies for teachers, staff, and workers (including Vietnamese and foreigners) in full accordance with current regulations.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Saigon Pearl International Kindergarten was established in 2010 and has been operating since 2013. The school currently has 103 students, 13 teachers and 26 staff. The school is teaching the program of the Department of Education and Training of Delaware State, USA.

Previously, on February 14, parents of students at Saigon Pearl International School (Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) received notice that the school would have to cease operations at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. The reason was that due to a decrease in enrollment, despite efforts, the school could not continue to maintain operations.

Along with our commitment to continue high-quality teaching and learning until the last day of school, we are also committed to supporting our students, teachers and staff as they navigate this transition.

Accordingly, all students of the school at both Kindergarten and Primary levels will be transferred to study at the same school, Ho Chi Minh City International School (ISHCMC), if parents have a need, with the same tuition fee for two years.

The school will have a dedicated team to support parents in the process of transferring to ISHCMC or finding other international schools that suit their families’ wishes. The school also supports teachers and staff in finding new jobs.
