List of Vietnamese athletes winning medals at ASIAD 19

The Vietnamese sports delegation attending the 19th ASIAD (Hangzhou, China) has 504 members, including 337 athletes, 90 coaches, 11 experts, competing in 31 sports and sub-sports, with 202 events.

The goal of the Vietnamese sports delegation is to strive to win from 2 to 5 gold medals. The sports expected to bring gold medals to the Vietnamese delegation at the 19th ASIAD are sepak takraw, karate, shooting, boxing, and chess.

On September 28, Pham Quang Huy became the first Vietnamese athlete to win a gold medal at the 19th ASIAD. The 27-year-old shooter took first place in the final of the men's 10m air pistol individual event. The shooting team completed its mission to contribute a gold medal.

The 19th Asian Games opened on September 23 and closed on October 8 in Hangzhou, China. The Games brought together 45 countries and territories with about 12,000 athletes competing. The 19th Asian Games held 40 events with 61 disciplines and 483 events.
