David Beckham was hospitalised last week in "unbearable" pain and needed surgery to remove a screw stuck in his wrist - a legacy of an injury sustained while playing for England 22 years ago.
Beckham was seen arriving at Mercedes-Benz Stadium wearing a blue armband and a cast on his right hand. However, he remained upbeat, smiling and greeting fans ahead of Inter Miami's match against PSG at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Asked by DAZN Football about his wrist, Beckham replied softly: "It's fine. It's an old injury that needed surgery but everything is good."
Speaking about the match, he confided: "Honestly, this was quite an emotional match for me. Obviously, the team we own (Inter Miami) is facing the best team in the world right now (PSG). Who would have thought?".

Beckham ended his playing career at PSG in 2013 and he still has a lot of affection for the French club.
"It was very special to end my career in Paris the way I did with this club. I was only there for six months but it felt like 16 years. It's a real family, a very special club, owned by special people, run by a special man," he added.
"We're so proud of this moment, to be standing here and knowing we're up against PSG - as owners, as friends, as partners, it's really special," Beckham added.
Beckham's appearance comes just days after his wife shared a photo of him recovering in hospital on Instagram, captioned: "Get well soon dad", as he smiled despite his discomfort.
Despite being hospitalised, Beckham made the trip to Georgia to support his team in one of the biggest games since the club was formed.
Unfortunately for Inter Miami owner Beckham, however, he had to witness a completely dominant performance from PSG. In the end, Inter Miami lost to PSG with a score of 0-4.
