To fully promote the role and responsibility of Trade Union officials in carrying out propaganda, dissemination and legal education work among workers, Chairman of the Labor Federation of Son Tay town ( Hanoi ) Hua Duc Tuan said that under the leadership of the City Party Committee and the direction of the City Labor Federation, the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and Trade Union activities have achieved many results. The town's Trade Unions at all levels have gradually innovated, been creative and flexible in directing and organizing implementation. In addition, they have done a good job of propaganda and education for cadres, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.
“Notably, with many rich and diverse forms, the Trade Union at all levels has done a good job of propagating and disseminating legal education to raise awareness among union members and workers with many diverse and rich forms. Actively propagating and mobilizing union members, establishing grassroots trade union organizations. Effectively performing the function of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. In addition, focusing on directing and introducing outstanding union members to the Party for training and admission, actively participating in implementing the tasks of socio -economic development of the town" - Mr. Tuan said.
Also contributing to promoting the dissemination and education of law for workers and laborers, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - Chairman of the Bao Loc City Labor Federation (Lam Dong Province) said that the Union officials have visited each grassroots Union to disseminate and educate the law to union members. This is an effective method that the Bao Loc City Labor Federation has implemented over the past many years. Therefore, in 2024, the unit organized 13 campaigns to disseminate and educate the law for more than 3,200 union members. In particular, the unit has performed well in its role as a member of the city's legal education and dissemination council. This is the basis for the city government to supplement funding for the unit to perform this task. In addition, the Unions at all levels also mobilize social resources to support this activity to be more effective. Campaigns to disseminate the law will always be associated with activities to care for and improve the lives of union members and laborers.
According to Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Trade Union organization has actively researched, proposed and participated in the development and implementation of policies and laws related to the rights of workers. In particular, the passing of the Trade Union Law 2024 has specified the rights and responsibilities of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; supplemented the rights of trade union organizations to supervise and provide social criticism; supplemented cases of exemption, reduction and temporary suspension of payment of trade union fees... Thereby, workers need to pay attention to and maximize the rights of trade union organizations to supervise and provide criticism, pay attention to the rights of workers in order to have more drastic measures.
