According to the National Power Development Plan, the total approved solar power capacity of Tay Ninh province is 1,188MW, of which the 2021-2030 period is 718MW and the 2031-2035 period is 470MW.
According to the provincial planning, Tay Ninh has 18 concentrated solar power projects, with a total capacity of up to 2,438MW.
Currently, two projects including TTC Duc Hue 2 Solar Power Plant and Dau Tieng 5 Solar Power Project are completing construction procedures to begin construction.
In addition, 8 projects are in the process of updating the provincial planning to organize bidding and auction of land use rights to select investors.
The Department of Finance is presiding over and coordinating with relevant departments and branches to review and adjust the provincial planning to create a legal basis for implementing the next steps.
However, the province is also facing some difficulties. Specifically, power projects have been approved in the national planning but cannot be implemented to select investors because the provincial planning is in the process of review and adjustment.
At the same time, 8 other projects have been included in the provincial planning but have not been added to the national planning.
To resolve the problems, the Department of Industry and Trade recommends that the Provincial People's Committee direct the Department of Finance to promptly complete the dossier and submit the adjustment of the provincial planning, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. This will create favorable conditions for solar power projects to be implemented soon, contributing to the local socio -economic development and fulfilling the commitment to sustainable energy transition./.
