ANTD.VN - The Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) believes that reducing land rent has a positive impact on businesses, and recommends continuing to reduce land rent by 30% this year.

VCCI proposes to continue reducing land rent by 30% in 2025

The Ministry of Finance is developing a policy to reduce land rent in 2025. The draft proposes two options for land rent reduction, including a 30% reduction in land rent payable in 2025. Option 2: other reduction levels

In the comments, VCCI agreed with the Ministry of Finance's plan to develop a policy to reduce land rent in 2025.

VCCI believes that this policy is consistent with the Government's determination to achieve an economic growth rate of 8% in 2025, aiming to create momentum for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period.

Specifically, the private economy currently contributes nearly half of the national GDP and will be the main driving force in economic growth. Therefore, there is a need for policies to support businesses to make breakthroughs in production and investment, especially in the context of economic forecasts in 2025 posing many challenges for exports, inflationary pressures and high production material costs due to supply chain disruptions.

The land rent reduction policy will help businesses reduce financial burdens, enhance their ability to respond to global economic risks, thereby contributing significantly to realizing the 8% growth target in 2025.

Therefore, it is recommended that the drafting agency choose option 1, developing a policy to reduce land rent in 2025.

Regarding the reduction, according to VCCI, the land rent reduction policy for the years 2021 to 2024 has had a positive impact on the economy. The land rent reduction in previous years was 30% and is considered reasonable.

This reduction helps businesses have more resources to restore production and business but is still controlled within allowable limits, ensuring no significant impact on total state budget revenue.

Therefore, it is recommended that the drafting agency choose option 1, applying a 30% reduction in land rent payable for 2025.
