Regarding this issue, the State Bank said that according to data reported by the finance company, Mr. Quang was classified as having bad debt due to overdue payment with a principal balance of VND 5 million and had been fully paid off by the reporting period of July 31, 2022.
Information on customers' bad debt history at financial companies is provided by CIC for a maximum of 5 years from the end date.
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 11 of Circular No. 03/2013/TT-NHNN dated January 28, 2013 of the Governor of the State Bank on credit information activities of the State Bank, information on your bad debt history at the finance company is provided by CIC within a maximum period of 5 years from the end date. Therefore, CIC has no basis to delete the bad debt history information as requested by you.
Despite having a history of bad debt, from July 31, 2022 to present, he has not incurred overdue debt and is currently classified by credit institutions in the qualified debt group, so Mr. Quang's credit score has improved significantly.
"CIC recommends that you continue to pay attention to full and timely payments to further improve your credit score in the coming time," the State Bank explained.
