Cam Pha Cement Joint Stock Company and Vicem Ha Long Cement Joint Stock Company signed a cooperation agreement on exporting cement and clinker.
Previously, these two enterprises had a discussion to share experiences and support each other on effective cooperation plans in exporting cement and clinker. After a period of working and detailed discussion, Cam Pha Cement and Vicem Ha Long reached an agreement to sign a cooperation agreement on exporting cement and clinker.
Accordingly, it is expected that in October 2024, Cam Pha Cement Joint Stock Company and Vicem Ha Long will export an order of industrial PCB40 cement to the South African market with an output of 40,000 tons. Of which, Cam Pha Cement will supply 20,000 tons and Vicem Ha Long will supply 20,000 tons.
General Director of Cam Pha Cement Joint Stock Company, Colonel Tran Quang Hung shared: "Cam Pha Cement has the advantage of geographical location, located on the shore of Bai Tu Long Bay, along with a modern seaport system, convenient for waterway vehicles to access and import and export goods. This is an important first step for the cooperation between Cam Pha Cement and Vicem Ha Long".
The signing of the cooperation agreement between Cam Pha Cement and Vicem Ha Long is the combination of two units with separate strengths, creating a common strength. Both enterprises expect that this cooperation will continuously expand and become stronger over time, with the goal of deploying large orders to other international markets.
Cam Pha Cement Joint Stock Company owns a cement factory with a capacity of 2.3 million tons of cement/year in Quang Ninh and Cam Pha Cement Grinding Station in My Xuan A Industrial Park, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. Meanwhile, Vicem Ha Long has a factory in Ha Long, Quang Ninh and a grinding station located in Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Nha Be, Ho Chi Minh City.
In the context of declining domestic cement consumption due to the sluggish real estate market and difficult exports due to China reducing imports from Vietnam, manufacturers strengthening their connections to seek export orders and find outlets for their products will help accelerate consumption output.
In the first 8 months of 2024, the total cement industry's export volume reached 20.5 million tons, worth 790 million USD, down 3.5% in volume and 14.4% in value compared to the same period last year.
