On the afternoon of July 11, the homepage of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club announced: "Thank you Coach Huynh Quoc Anh - a historical piece of Binh Phuoc Club! Today, with a heart full of gratitude, Binh Phuoc would like to send our deepest gratitude to Coach Huynh Quoc Anh - who has written with us beautiful pages of football history in the red land."

Before taking the head coach position, Mr. Huynh Quoc Anh participated in youth training in Da Nang and was invited to Binh Phuoc as an assistant in the 2024-2025 season. When coach Nguyen Anh Duc left the team, the former 2012 Vietnam Golden Ball was unexpectedly entrusted with the right to lead the first team.

Coach Quoc Anh officially leaves Binh Phuoc Club

Under his leadership, Binh Phuoc played impressively in the final stages of the season, with a series of 10 matches: 7 wins, 2 draws and only 1 loss.

In particular, the 3-0 victory over Long An in the final round helped the team win the runner-up position in the First Division and a play-off spot for promotion. Despite losing 0-2 to Da Nang in the play-off, this is still considered a great success for Binh Phuoc.

Before parting ways with this strategist, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club had said goodbye to a total of 18 members, including players and coaching staff. On the morning of July 10, the team announced that it would be parting ways with 5 more players: Nguyen Khac Vu, Tran Anh Thi, Truong Du Dat, Tran Nhat Ha and Tran Dam Phuc Thinh, bringing the total number of players leaving the team to 13. Previously, the team had said goodbye to players Tran Phi Son, Nguyen Van Quy, Tran Manh Hung, Le Van Nam, Tong Anh Ty, Hoang Minh Tam, Nguyen Tai Loc and Duong Van Trung.

In addition, the coaching staff also had changes when 5 members left the team: Japanese assistant coach Ueno Nobuhiro, goalkeeper coach Dang Dinh Duc, fitness coach Nguyen Ngoc An, doctor Truong Van Nga and interpreter Hoang Nhat Hoang.

In the second leg of the 2024-2025 season, Binh Phuoc registered a total of 29 players. This liquidation phase accounts for almost half of the squad, showing a strong determination to rebuild, aiming for promotion in the new season.

Before this series of farewells, Binh Phuoc Club is said to be in contact with Coach Nguyen Viet Thang, who just helped Ninh Binh Club win a ticket to V-League next season.

The appearance of coach Nguyen Viet Thang is expected to help Binh Phuoc continue to nurture hopes of conquering the V-League in the next season.

Most likely, the team will also announce more quality recruits to prepare for the new journey.
