Difficult decision of Dong Nai Tuoi School
On August 2, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club officially sent a document to Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), announcing that it would not participate in the LPBank V-League 2025-2026 national football championship, even though the team may be qualified in terms of expertise to participate in the highest tournament of Vietnamese football.

In a document sent to VPF, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club said: "We have held a meeting, carefully and comprehensively considered. With the spirit of learning and responsibility for the tournament, fans and the image of the club, we regret to announce that: Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club will not participate in the LPBank National Football Championship 2025-2026".
The club's management also admitted that this was a difficult decision, because participating in the V-League is always the desire of every professional club. However, the club determined that sustainable development needs to be based on a solid foundation, in which fans and the fan community play a central role and are the core driving force. "This is not only the guiding principle for all activities of the club, but also a strategic goal in the journey to build a professional, unique and sustainable football team," the announcement said.

Immediately after receiving the official announcement from Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club, VPF transferred the tournament slot to PVF-CAND Club - the team ranked next in order of tournament participation conditions (ranked third in the 2024-2025 first division).
After receiving the invitation, PVF-CAND accepted the invitation and will replace Truong Tuoi Dong Nai to compete in the V-League 2025-2026. This is a notable change in the organization of the next season, and is also a step showing the prudence and long-term orientation of Truong Tuoi Dong Nai in the journey of professional development.
PVF-CAND will host SLNA on August 15 at Hung Yen Stadium. This is the stadium that used VAR to serve the first division in the 2024-2025 season. The stadium currently has about 6,000 seats in the stands, and will have to install additional mobile stands in stand B to meet the criteria that a V-League stadium must have at least 10,000 seats.
