The U.21 Netherlands team possesses superior height, creating pressure right from the serve, causing many difficulties for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. The pressure created by the opponent also caused the students of coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa to make many mistakes in the first step. Nguyen Thi Uyen and Tran Thi Bich Thuy had explosive moments to help the Vietnamese team reduce the gap to 1 point (22/23, 23/24) but failed to successfully take advantage of the opportunity to tie the score, so they lost 23/25 in the first set.

Bich Thuy shines but the Vietnamese team loses regrettably

The impressive performance of Tran Thi Bich Thuy helped the Vietnamese team get off to a good start in game 2. However, the weakness in defense, especially the first-step errors of coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa's players, was successfully exploited by the opponent. Although U.21 Netherlands took the lead 17/14, Bich Thuy shined, helping her teammates play confidently, turning the situation around to win an impressive 25/20, thereby tying the score 1-1.

The high spirits helped the Vietnamese girls compete enthusiastically in game 3. In addition to Bich Thuy's excellent quick attacks that shook the opponent's defense, the Vietnamese team also scored points thanks to the attacks of Nguyen Thi Phuong and Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh. Not only did they successfully chase the score, the Vietnamese team also made the U.21 Netherlands team shaken, thereby winning 25/23 and surprisingly taking the lead with a score of 2-1.

Bich Thuy and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team continued to play impressively in game 4. Continuously losing to the U.21 Netherlands, the Vietnamese girls persisted to equalize before losing narrowly 23/25 and had to enter the deciding game 5. In this game, the young Dutch girls came back strongly, continuously leading the Vietnamese team before winning 15/12.

The 3-2 victory over Vietnam helped the Netherlands U.21 team reach the final of the Shanghai Future Stars international friendly volleyball tournament, facing the Chinese U.21 team. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team will compete for third place with the Shanghai U.21 team.
